Election 2007: Nigeria's Appointment With Destiny

Today, Nigerians go to the poll to elect governors for her 36 States, and her state legislators. It would be an opportunity once again, to avenge the last 4 years of recklessness and brigandage by corrupt politicians.

It would be the first civilian to civilian transition, as President Obasanjo is bound by the constitution to vacate the 'throne' for a new president, after 8 years of benevolent dictatorship and economic sloppiness.

A plethora of presidential candidates, from the government 'disqualified' Atiku Abubakar, the sitting Vice President to Muhammadu Buhari, a former dictator-turned opposition democrat to Pat Utomi, to Orji Uzor Kalu... about 24 in all.

Fashola would square it out today with the "Lagos Fayose" Koro, while Rauf Aregbesola would battle to win in Osun State. Adams Oshiomole would be heading to the throne in benin city Edo State while Mimiko would battle to sack agagu from the Ondo government house. If you can read my mind you know where my sympathy lies in this Elections.

Governors in waiting, Fashola, Aregbesola, Oshiomole and Mimiko, I congratulate you in Advance
